A good hat makes me happy! I used to think, “I can’t wear a hat—I look horrible.” Sure, I would wear one in the show ring, but as soon as I was off my horse, the hat was off my head. So what was the problem? I simply didn’t have the right hat! The shape, the color—everything plays a part in finding the perfect fit.

I remember the first hat I bought just for fun, made by a local artist. The minute I put it on, everything changed. It sparked the journey I’m on right now. Years later, here I am—a place I could never have imagined. I’m creating hats, and my heart has never felt more full. After 40 years, I’ve found my thing!

My dream is to help other women feel that same spark I felt—to wear art proudly and with fearless confidence. Whether it’s a hat, a striking piece of jewelry, or whatever makes them light up in the world. Something as simple as a hat did that for me.

I was never an artist; in fact, my last art class was in 6th grade, and I didn’t do much more than random doodles until my mom passed in 2019. That’s when I felt the urge to find something that could calm me. What started with wood-burning and permanent makeup led to drawing and jewelry making, and now to creating art with fire.

I see endless possibilities ahead. With time, practice, and all the love and support you’ve given me, I know this journey will lead to some beautiful places.
